So tired

Yeah, just got off work and am tired, but I'm still blogging for you!!! It'll probably be boring, but we'll see.

Things are starting to happen. Starting pretty much tomorrow my days are going to start being full and busy and I've already made myself a schedule. I think that's how I'm going to have to operate this year...on a schedule. It's probably the only way I'll stay sane. I just have a lot going on. Tomorrow I have to wake up and clean my house and then go to work. And then Sunday I open, so I'll do that and then Cassandra will be here and we're meeting up after I"m done working. I have some of her stuff here, so she's going to want it. Hence the housecleaning. That's the thing about me. The only time I ever do an actual cleaning of my house, not just a bit of tidying, but actual cleaning, is when someone is coming over.

Then Monday I have to work a table for SADD at the Information Fair held at Orientation. Hopefully we'll get a bunch of new members and have a really strong group. I started this group myself last year and we had a shaky start. But this year we're going to get things rolling really quickly and I'm excited. So, a big part of our plan for the year depends on these new students who will hopefully join our group! I'm proud of my group I formed as there hasn't ever really been a successful SADD chapter at any post-secondary school in Saskatchewan and I want this one to last. Plus, I have to admit I'm selfish kinda...this will look awesome on my resume. Haha, so I want it to go well.

Monday after I'm done with the info fair I've got to head to work. We have no idea just how busy it will be, so I'm going to stop by and if I'm needed I'll stay and work. Which would actually be nice since it's the stat holiday.

Tuesday is a bit of a relax day for me. I really have nothing planned to take me out of the house. So, I'm going to just organize my books, get ready for Wednesday (that's the first day of school for me for those of you who don't know). I have a SADD meeting with our executive on Wednesday, so I'd like to get a whole bunch of stuff ready for that.

Anyway, that's my life for the next week or so. Now for something interesting. Or at least I think it's interesting.

We all surf the net and come across cool websites. So, I'm going to list some websites that I personally love. Some you may know, some you may have gone to in the past but want to visit again, and some may be new to you. Anyway, check them out and have some fun!!

Newgrounds
A popular website. It features flash games and movies. It's a place for flash artists to come and submit their work and a place for people like me to come and watch it. Newgrounds also features an audio portal for you music lovers! Create an account and check it out!! Newgrounds is massive and there's a lot to check out.

Digital Blasphemy
This is a website featuring amazing backgrounds for your computer! The pictures are great and I almost always have one as my background. This is what this guy does for a living, so you have to pay for most pics, but he does feature a free gallery where you can check out some of his work and put it on you computer.

The Mini-Mizer
I stumbled upon this one night in my crazy ramblings around the internet. Go here and make a lego person of yourself or anyone else!!

iSketch
Online pictionary. Crazy fun, crazy addictive.

Half Bakery
Ever been high and gotten an idea so crazy it just might work?? Well, this is the place to put it!! My favourite: Ice Cube Jenga!!!!

Well, that's enough for now. I'll add more in another post. This one has been long enough! Let me know what you think of the webpages!!

I guess I should update

So, I have 4 days off in a row. It's my vacation time, so basically I'm playing everything by ear. I'm not making plans, I'm just going with the flow.

This morning I got up early and headed to work to talk to my manager. I never work with her, so if I have a problem this is about the only way I can let her know. So, my problem was with another staff member. We are a very busy store come the school year, but this co-worker can barely even keep up now, when we're about a 1/4 as busy. And my manager has her booked with me, just the 2 of us, during a Saturday lunch, and I'm pretty sure my head will explode if that happens. So I went and voiced my concerns to my manager as well as my boss who was luckily there. I think my boss wants to fire her and I hope she does. I don't like this staff member, but disregarding that, her level of work is just under-par. She worked at a different Subway for about 3 years...so if she isn't at the level I am by now when I've only been at Subway for about a year, then I don't think she'll ever raise up to the level we need her to be at. Also, whenever we are missing large amounts of money...it's when she has worked. I don't like to point fingers, but it's just kind of suspicious. I mentioned that to my manager too. So, we'll see what happens.

So here's your chance for feedback...what's your worst experience with a co-worker??? This isn't my worst experience at all, but this was just weird cause I kinda feel bad going to my manager. But really, I don't want to go insane because this other girl can't do her job. So yeah, tell me your stories and we'll see who has the craziest, funniest, or worst story of all!!!

What a great day!!

Wow!! It's only 1:12am, but my day today so far has been just great!!! Only an hour in and it's awesome...I only hope it doesn't go downhill from here. Let me re-cap my day:

12:00am...still at work. We got a new computer system there which makes my close a hell of a lot easier.

12:15am....have escaped the Subway and am now at the bank depositing my $2500 cheque. When I graduated, I won a $10,000 bursary from Encana (definitely my favourite oil company) which was to be given to me $2500 at a time. This was my 3rd installment. I can now pay part of my tuition. Wow is it sad when a $10,000 bursary doesn't even cover half of my tuition.

12:30am...have reached home. Am sitting at my computer eating a most excellent sandwich made by me.

12:35am...checking out the Pandas...the baby opened his eyes!!!!!!

12:45am...talking to my friend Sameer who also happened to be my prof for the class I just finished. I got 73% on the final!!!!! I seriously barely knew how to do anything on that final. I think I'm smarter than I think I am. Plus he's an easy marker. Anyway, I earned an 80% in that class which is amazing!!! Whether I keep it or not depends on if he curves or not, but at least I know that I earned an 80%. Seriously, this is the 3rd finance class I've taken...each has been successively harder, this one the hardest one...I've hated this topic more than the previous two...yet I got the highest mark!!! I'm ecstatic!!!! Obviously I had a good prof!

1:00am...reading blogs...Nathan actually updated...and I got a mention on Pilot's World...not bad.

1:15am....am currently updating my own blog which I often don't do, so this is good.

Well that's my day so far. I think I'll go to bed now as I have to meet someone on campus at noon.

Oh and did I mention that today is payday?? Could this day get any better?????

I have to pee

Yes, I have to pee.  I will continue this entry in about 5-10 minutes...

OK I'm back.  So, this is my last day in Weyburn.  I've been very lazy with my blog, but whatever.  I'm on vacation.  When I come home I usually sit on my ass the whole time anyway, so whatever.  So, today I actually have a topic of discussion, we'll see if anyone has any comments on it.

I found this book years ago in the Weyburn library.  I have a fascination with India and I'm quite sure that this book is what started it.  It's a story about a small farm girl who becomes a socialite and ends up being the Vicereine of India.  In other words, the wife of the head of India when it was still under British rule.  This book is called Empress and it is written by Graham Masterton.  My favourite quote of all time is a line from this book.  I think it is very true and want to know what you think.

"We are different from the animals only in that we are capable of punishing ourselves.  Animals avoid pain at all costs.  Only the human intellect understands that pain has a purpose."

So, do you agree with this quote, or do you disagree??

A bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

Well, I'm home in Weyburn.  I got in yesterday (Thursday) and will probably leave on Wednesday.  The bus trip was not too bad...I slept most of the way to Chamberlain.  Andrew came to pick me up and I had to wait for him...there was a train and I was thinking "yup, Andrew's probably about 4th in the line-up on the other side of that train."  And he was just behind the train.

I went down to Wal-mart yesterday and got myself the cushiest slippers.  They're great.  Pink...they make my feet look huge, but I don't care because they're just slippers.  I also found Shrek 2 on VHS for only $4, so I grabbed it.

Today I did some banking for my dad...my mom had gone and grabbed all the lion's mints money and I counted it, recorded it, and deposited it for them.  Me and mom did some other shopping too.  We went to the grocery store, and to the wine-making store, and to lumber store.  We spent most of the afternoon in the car.  I also went to the liquor store to get alochol for tomorrow night at Scotchfest.

So, Andrew spilled water on himself and was all like "I peed myself with cold water."  Which brought up the question in my mind...what if our pee was cold??  Would it hurt to pee, or would it just be numb??  An interesting question.

Anyway, I'm off to download WinAmp for mom's comp because her music player is the shit.
